Since quinoa first became a global phenomenon, there have been several debates on whether international demand for this versatile grain was beneficial or detrimental to local producers and consumers. While in Peru, I interviewed professors and agronomists and created this short documentary detailing the labor required to refine quinoa: a part of the process often hidden from consumers in the United States and Europe.
